Project context
Coordinating a simulation means coordinating its parts.
Scenario selection, simulator setup, participant assignment and configuration form one connected workflow. The interface organises these decisions into distinct steps and keeps simulator-specific controls within each step.

01 — System & workflow
Give the setup
a clear order.
The setup is organised into four steps: Scenario, Simulators, Assign and Configure. Within that sequence, simulator types provide the structure for assigning participants and editing settings.

01 Begin with the scenario

Urban Combat is highlighted among the scenario choices. The four-stage navigation establishes the setup sequence.
One scenario. Distinct assignment structures.
The simulator type determines how participants are organised in the next step.

Choose the simulator instances.
The selected scenario stays visible while vehicle and LED wall instances are chosen.
02 Simulator selection within the same setup

Vehicle and LED wall instances are grouped separately, with a selected count for each simulator type.

Vehicle simulators organise participants by crew role. LED wall simulators use individual soldier positions. Both sit within the same assignment step, with controls scoped to the selected simulator.

Vehicle simulator · crew roles

01 Named crew roles within a vehicle.

LED wall simulator · participant positions

02 Individual participant positions within an LED wall simulator.
Completed vehicle assignment

Minimum crew guidance and completion counts appear within the vehicle panel.
Unassigned vehicle

Minimum crew guidance and completion counts appear within the vehicle panel.
03 — Inline interaction
Add a participant where the assignment happens.
The role label stays visible as the participant selector expands. Search, existing participants and an inline creation form remain attached to the same assignment field.
Two states of the same Gunner assignment field: unassigned and expanded.
01 Unassigned field

02 Expanded participant selector

Search, selection and participant creation remain within the role’s assignment field.
Vehicle settings cover type, mode and system options. Individual participant rows reveal equipment and sensor parameters when expanded, alongside an option to apply those settings to all soldiers.
04 — Layered configuration
Keep shared settings
and individual
parameters distinct.
